December 2013: we are ahead of our schedule with the design of the pre-pilot –line by about a month, as we have obtained some positive signs from the preliminary tests conducted on the high pressure injectors for this research project. Tests performed on in-house fabricated prototype injectors – see example as per project – have produced some positive figures in terms of nebulisation of the glue mix utilized in a high pressure system. These figures will need to be confirmed in theory as well and this activity has been assigned to the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia -CENTRO EN&TECH- for the CFD analysis of the theoretical behaviour of the glue mixture applied in true high pressure operating conditions and construction of a pre-pilot line to carry out measurements and simulations aimed at confirming the project parameters.
