 ECO-INNOVATE AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS WITH THE SUPPORT OF A EUROPEAN PROJECT

The HPRS project has been accomplished through the collaboration of a group of 4 partners from two European countries, who have designed, implemented and tested the innovative high pressure resination system.

The aim of the project was to design a new type of sprayer nozzle with variable orifice for spraying resins homogenously at high pressure.

This is a 30 month project, co-funded by the European Commission within the LIFE+ programme. LIFE12 ENV/IT/000307

The purpose of the conference is to illustrate the results that have been achieved within the scope of the European project “Life HPRS” (High Pressure Resination System) and to stimulate the exchange of technological know-how between those involved in the project and companies residing within the Emilia-Romagna region. The project, coordinated by IMAL, a company based in Modena, that has been operating in the wood-based panels industry for over 40 years, has designed and manufactured a mixing process based on innovative resin application technology , capable of radically reducing resin loads, attenuating the impact on the environment, cutting power costs as well as cutting the costs for the entire wood-based panel production process.
